The New Balance 550 “White/Carolina Blue” is a college basketball-inspired colorway of the vintage basketball shoe that salutes the North Carolina Tar Heels with its design. The “White/Carolina Blue” version of the popular lifestyle and retro basketball shoe by New Balance features the team uniform colors of the Tar Heels, Michael Jordan’s alma mater, for a throwback look. A combination of smooth and perforated white leather appears on the base. Both the “N” and “550” branding on the mid-panel and forefoot is designed in Carolina Blue. Classic “NB” detailing in black is found on the heel. Underfoot, New Balance gives the rubber midsole a cream hue as a salute to the old school vibe of the basketball shoe.
